Hey Choir :)

Are you happy? We got GOLD WITH HONOURS! So cool right? I think we sounded amazing and we somehow managed to cut off well :)

Don't forget how we got here - by working really hard and doing not so fun things like details and more details. But it paid off didn't it?

Let's continue to work hard for upcoming things like the July concert and for Founder's day.

But for now, just CELEBRATE because we got GOLD WITH HONOURS!!!   Oh yeah!

Love,
Me :)

p.s. I finally figured out how to post on the blog. Are you proud of me? XD

HEY GUYS!! =D
GUESS WHO? =)=)=)
Well, I know I'm alumni, and I dunno if I'm supposed to be able to post anymore (HEH!)
BUTTT, I really can't contain this!!!

WE ARE SO PROUD OF ALL OF YOU!!!
GOOD JOB AT THE SYF!!!
GOLD WITH HONOURS YO! SHIOK TTM!!!

You girls have really done the school, teachers, conductors, and all us alumni proud. Thank you so much for all the hard work put in, and now you all know exactly what your limits are: LIMITLESS. (LOL!)
Remember at choir camp when we were discussing the expectations of the choir? I am very sure that you've proved to yourselves that working towards your expectations, though tough, is definitely worth the while.

Ms J Tham, Mr Tay, Ms Tham PW, Ms Ng and Mrs Heng, thank you so much for all the hard work you've put in! We know that he Choir could not have attained this height without your input. We really miss all of you, and we still keep in mind all that you have taught us! We really miss singing with the MGS Choir, under your baton, but we promise that we are doing our best to spread the joy of singing! =D

WELL. So in short, CONGRATULATIONS!
Tonight, as you all go to sleep, thank the Lord for blessing us, yea?
And don't forget to continue praising His name with your beautiful voices =)

Loving you always,
Eli Sayampanathan, on behalf of all Alumni

ps. We're really proud to be able to call ourselves Alumni of the MGS Choir. And one day, when all of you become alumni too, you'll understand...thank you for giving us this legacy Choir!!
So hey guys

well it's 2.25 in the morning and i somehow woke up in the middle of the night (that never ever happens) and I'm laying here and I can't get back to sleep so I thought why not post a little something something?:P

I think we've come a pretty long way in our prep for SYF and although it was mighty stressful and all I kinda had fun, did yall?

Anyway I wanted to say thank you all for making rehearsals so vibrant and interesting, thank you comm for keeping the choir going, thank you SLs & octet leaders for organizing practices, thank you newbies to being so diligent and thank you non-newbies for helping the newbies and everyone along.

And thank you teachers and conductors for all the support and for whipping us into shape.

Kay I"m kinda excited but kinda apprehensive, scared that I'll freakv out and goof or something, and that's bound to happen if I don't get enough sleep so I'd better stop blogging now.

See yall later peeps.

Intensity V.S. Volume

Hey guys,

You know, for parts like bar 75 of the Icelandic Song, Mr Tay is always telling us to be quiet but intenseso guess wot?

While I was studying, I came up with this great analogy.

You know right, if you check out the shower in your bathroom. The tap can move vertically or horizontally? Well, let's just imagine, that you want cold water to come out in a big amount. You turn the tap sideways and upwards, right?

So... in the same way, you have to go 2 directions when you are singing. Whether it's greater intensity or less intensity. Whether it's loud or soft and quiet. And BTW, loud does not mean greater intensity all the time okaay?

I know this analogy is pretty funny. But I sing better when I imagine it as something else. Haha, am I weird? But I hope this helps you to see the difference, especially those newbies out there. (:

Okay, let's pray hard for a GOLD WITH HONOURS for our SYF kay. But the thing is, we should just give our best. I think God will be pleased with that.

Bye, (have to study for history nao)

Barberella barberella barrrberellaaeee

p.s guess who?
